New tariffs for 2024
The new tariff for the Sintra tram has been in force since January 25, 2024.
The Sintra tram, one of the region's ex-libris, appeared in 1904 to fill the need to connect the town to Praia das Maçãs.
Today it works as a tourist transport and continues to provide a connection between the town and Praia das Maçãs.
There are almost 13 kilometers of winding route between the mountains and the sea, a journey that lasts around 45 minutes and where passengers can use open or closed carriages.
